  • Ideal for stiff, inflexible and tight bodies.
  • Prevents muscle burn out from activities like running, cycling, or weight training.
  • No prior yoga experience needed.
  • Increases/maintains range of motion
  • Improves mobility

Trauma-informed yoga is taught in a very specific manner, emphasizing control over one’s own experience, honoring the limits of one’s own body, and inviting trauma survivors to explore their individual experience in every breath and every pose.

Using yoga, sound, relaxation techniques and breathwork, this class offers a safe and supportive environment to help survivors:
  • Reconnect with your body
  • Calm your minds
  • Experience emotions directly
  • Regain a sense of control.
  • Learn to re-regulate your nervous system
  • The addition of the soothing sounds of singing bowls, played live by master musician and sound healer, Bernadette Yao, facilitates deep relaxation and optimal healing,

This class is appropriate for those over the age of 18 who have experienced violence, abuse, conflict, disaster, and other traumatic events.
